This position will manage investments by SBGP, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP), private foundations, and other third parties, taking projects from concept to completion. This position serves as an advisor and thought partner on projects occurring throughout the SBGP District and will lead a team of project managers providing management and mentorship to ensure work is completed to SBGP standards. Development Director – will be responsible for bringing in significant amounts of funding for SBGP and, where feasible, SBGP’s partners (thereby allowing SBGP to redirect its core casino funding elsewhere). This will involve identifying corporate, philanthropic, and public sector funding opportunities; determining which funding opportunity is best aligned with which SGBP program or partner; building relationships between these funders and SBGP and its partners; and helping SBGP and/or its partners apply for funding. Introducing more of SBGP’s newer staff! Ashley joined as a Community Grants Manager in March 2024. When asked about what she was looking forward to in her work with SBGP, Ashley said, "joining the Community Grants team, I am most excited about site visits and being able to be a part of the launching of new projects. The work that SBGP does is life-changing for the South Baltimore community and I am excited to serve such a trailblazing organization." We're delighted that Ashley is part of the SBGP team!
