Big congrats to our SocialMedia.org Members at United States Postal Service for winning not one, but two PRNEWS 2024 Digital Awards for best social listening campaign and employee engagement! 🎉
So, I'm not the world's best photographer... but I'm delighted to announce that we were PRNEWS 2024 Digital Award winners in two categories: - Social Listening Campaign - Employee Engagement https://lnkd.in/d2YN5-Hz These two awards are for the same project: our interactive heatmap. For those not familiar with the heatmap, users can search by area, district, topic or zip code on two interfaces: - Concerns coming to us on our corporate social media accounts on X and Facebook. - Online reviews from over 30 review sites. The software is considered so innovative that we have completed the one-year preliminary process and filed a patent. Rather than take a "the beatings will continue until morale improves" approach, we used the heatmap to highlight employee excellence in area and district newsletters. The result? The volume of concerns to social customer response decreased 34% and online review scores improved 17%. Thanks to the following current and previous members of my team for their leadership on this: Paola Barahona, Brianna Sumter, John Hyatt, Crystal Tamia Robertson, Melissa Tashie Lomax, Evan Penev, Chris Lewitzke, Surabhi K., Karim Shah, Grace Cai, Qiao Zhang, and Ashley S. Holmes Mullenix, MIPP!

I'm excited to lead a conversation on bringing paid social media in-house at the SocialMedia.org Board Meeting in Chicago, September 11-12. We’ll discuss goals, staffing levels, the transition, challenges we faced and how we overcame them. These meetings are exclusively for social media leaders at large enterprises. And just like the community, they're confidential and off the record (so you must be there to hear it). Looking forward to seeing many of my #SocialMediaorg friends at the meeting! Grateful for the "surprise and delight" package I received from SocialMedia.org. I've never owned a cape. Doubt I'll wear it, but appreciate the sentiment. Feels good to be appreciated and I'm thrilled to be part of this incredible community. #socialmediaorg #grateful #swag
