Social managers really don't ask for much. They are used to doing more with less. They just want tools that make their lives easier because the demand for content is never-ending. AI tools and innovative features get teams excited. But this week at Slate, it was our simple recent addition of Safe Zones to our web editor that got the most enthusiasm. Because when you're as busy and overwhelmed as most social teams are, it's the little efficiency wins that make a big difference. What should we build next?

When you capture a viral clip... But can't post it because the background noise is a copyright infringement 🤦♂️ Just released: our new Denoise feature on the Slate mobile app. Now you can remove background noise in real-time for Reels, TikToks, Stories, and more. This has been a top requested feature, especially as legal issues for brands on social media have increased. We considered a big add-on fee but decided to make it nominal. We see this as core functionality that all our customers should have. Would this feature help your workflow?

With the UEFA EURO 2024 finishing, we wanted to highlight Slate users and congratulate both teams behind the content for England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Across the tournament they both brought real-time results, atmosphere and energy to their online fans and it shows in their content. Some of the best-performing social content is posted during 'off hours'. Quality content beats algorithm hacks every time. Plus, there's a benefit to capturing your audience's attention when everyone else is quiet.

New Heights is one of the best media brands on social. And they’re shattering the biggest myth about TikTok. Their videos are consistently top performers. This one has nearly 10M views on TikTok alone. They’ve mastered platform-specific editing: ✅ Bold, readable captions ✅ Fast pace cuts ✅ Engaging b-roll, GIFs, and emojis The myth: You need to create natively to succeed. The truth: You can make content that fits each platform, is algorithm-friendly, and still boosts your brand. New Heights' content is produced outside of TikTok (or CapCut). They are fully committed to a consistent brand look. 🎨 Branded fonts 🎨 Watermarks on every video 🎨 Branded end cards This approach not only works—it outperforms. Too many brands sacrifice their brand equity to use in-app overlays, hoping for a boost or at least not to be dinged. Create content you'd love to consume and proudly represent your brand. Recognizable content stands out in endless feeds. New Heights is building massive brand equity and still getting the numbers, while brands relying solely on native creation are not. What’s your take?

I recently spoke with social leads for two very different companies. One was a billion-dollar media brand. The other, a small minor league team. What did they both have in common? They are stretched for resources to create social content. There are always more ways to engage the audience, always more value to get out of social media. It doesn’t matter if you’re the biggest brand or the smallest. The biggest brands have so much content they can't manage it all effectively. The smallest teams have the same person juggling too many jobs, with content creation being just one of them. Some ways brands big and small are tackling this problem: ✅ Creating more in real-time ✅ Working with third-party creators to supplement internal resources ✅ Opting for quality over quantity ✅ Starting to leverage AI creation tools (like Slate) that make creation easier ✅ Repurposing content across more platforms to maximize impact How is your team handling the content demand?
