🍈 🥒 Nuevos procesos de higienización, conservación y monitorización de productos #hortofrutícolas frescos y mínimamente procesados, así como zumos y smoothies. Ha sido el resultado logrado en el proyecto europeo SHEALTHY PROJECT (#Horizonte2020), en el que ha participado ITENE. Los avances obtenidos en los pilotos, relativos a la implantación de las tecnologías desarrolladas durante su ejecución se presentaron los días 📆 4 y 5 de octubre en 📍 Madrid. Fue en el último encuentro entre los socios y empresas colaboradoras del proyecto, en el que participaron nuestras expertas Maria Monedero, Ana Maria Tone y Carla Bartolomé. Además, se actualizaron los resultados de la evaluación de la aptitud para contacto #alimentario de los prototipos y se explicaron los relativos al #impactoambiental, económico y social de las tecnologías desarrolladas, comparando la situación de las empresas colaboradoras en condiciones pre y post-piloto. 🗣 Asimismo, aprovechando la coincidencia con la feria Fruit Attraction , se realizó una jornada en abierto para presentar los principales resultados del proyecto a las empresas participantes en la feria. 💻 Más info: https://bit.ly/3FaZ1XD #ITENEtalent

📷 🎞 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱 🌱🍏Today we are at the final meeting of SHEALTHY PROJECT, the European project dedicated to innovation in the #food sector. 🍓🥦The main objective of the project was to develop state-of-the-art technologies for the preservation and stabilisation of minimally processed fruit and vegetable products. 💡Our researchers Annalisa Cassinelli and Amedeo Ingrosso, together with the rest of the #CETMA team, worked on the creation of a decision support system (#DSS) that allowed us to simulate and optimise processes, guaranteeing maximum product quality and freshness. 📊 🌍A bioactive protective film was also developed that will help preserve the natural goodness of our food, without compromising health and the environment.🌿

📢 Final day of the Alimentaria FoodTech 2023. From Stand 125 (hall P2, level 0, aisle E) IRIS Technology Solutions has been showcasing the Shealthy Project to the public. ✅ The Shealthy project aims to #evaluate and #develop an optimal combination of non-thermal sanitisation, preservation and stabilisation methods to improve safety (inactivation of pathogens and spoilage microorganisms), while preserving #nutritionalquality (up to 30%) and extending shelf life (up to 50%) of F&V products. By combining and modulating non-thermal #technologies with minimal processing operations, SHEALTHY's approach will finally be able to meet today's growing consumer demand for #healthyfood.
