Seniors Real Estate Property Tax Relief applicants: If you received a rejection notice and are working on a corrected application, this post is for you! BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: - Please make sure you have duplicate copies of your documents ready. Documents submitted with corrected applications will not be returned, and County offices are not able to make additional copies. - If you don’t have a copy of your Ownership Deed (usually a Warranty Deed, Special Warranty Deed, or possibly a Quit Claim Deed), copies can be obtained from the Recorder of Deeds Office. - If the property is titled to a Trust, a Deed transferring ownership to the Trust AND the Trust Agreement (or a Trust Certificate) showing the applicant is a benefactor of the Trust, must both be submitted. WHEN YOU ARRIVE: - If you need a copy of your ownership deed, sign in at the tablet kiosk in the Administration Building lobby for the Recorder's Office. They will transfer you to the Seniors Real Estate Tax Credit queue after they assist you. - The Collector of Revenue's office is available 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday, to receive corrected applications and documents. Check in at the tablet kiosk when you arrive to save your place in line. - The Collector and Recorder's offices are processing a high volume of requests. They thank you for your patience! Visit sccmo.org/SeniorTaxRelief for more information.
