Celebrating National Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! The month of May saw the nation reflect and celebrate National Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and how Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) contribute to our society. We are excited to celebrate our own Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP) Governing Board members, Chair Michele Lew and Sarita Kohli, recently featured in San José Spotlight as part of a story on Silicon Valley’s most influential Asian American leaders. Internally, SCFHP celebrated #AANHPI Month with a lunch & learn session where participants shared their experiences as Asian Americans. The series highlighted the experiences of Michele, Sarita, and SCFHP Chief Equity Officer Ngoc Bui-Tong. Sarita became president and CEO of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) in May 2017. Michele is currently CEO of The Health Trust. Since 2022, Michele has served as chair of the SCFHP Governing Board. Read Michele and Sarita’s stories in the article: https://lnkd.in/gUSU9Vdz
