Uniting public and private sector A/E/C fields to prepare for and overcome the nation's infrastructure challenges.
About us
The Society of American Military Engineers is the only nonprofit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry. Our goal is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the A/E/C fields so that we can prepare for and overcome natural and manmade disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad. We accomplish this goal locally by supporting monthly luncheon meetings and other professional/social activities attended by members of local government, military, private industry, students and other interested parties. These meetings are announced via our e-mail distribution list and quarterly newsletter. We are supported by the national Society of American Military Engineers and publications such as The Military Engineer, which also promotes the interests and goals of our society and its members. Please peruse our website to discover the benefits of SAME Sacramento Post membership.

Yesterday, 60 SAME Sacramento Post members and guests had the privilege to hear a fantastic and informative presentation given by Ms. Cheyanne Harris (from Brown and Caldwell) on the Sites Reservoir project. Attendees gained valuable insights into the ongoing planning of California’s newest reservoir, as well as current and upcoming challenges and information on future contracting procurements. Thank you to Kleinfelder for sponsoring the meeting! As a side note, Ms. Harris is a past recipient of SAME Sacramento Post College Scholarship. It is great to see her give back to the A/E/C industry. Mark you calendars! Join us for the July 2024 General Meeting on July 18, 2024. Mr. Greg Berry, Chief of Construction from Caltrans North Region, will be providing an overview of Caltrans Capital Region Improvements. Registration opens next week! #SAME #networking
