At #SAMEJETC24 SAME North-Atlantic & Mid-Atlantic Regional Vice Presidents, Carlos Sanchez and Summer Gladden, LEED AP, CF APMP, DBIA moderated a Roundtable to discuss 'Post Best Practices for Addressing Administrative Challenges' with leaders from each of their Posts. The Posts in attendance represent a significant percentage of overall SAME membership. Follow-up roundtables are in the works for the SAME Post Leaders Workshop in August, and for the SAME Small Business Conference in November to advance the conversation into actionable next-steps. Join the Mid-Maryland Board for an Earth Day Park Cleanup! Coordinated with Montgomery Parks, Mid-Maryland Post will spend the morning hours 0900-1100 cleaning up Edgewood Neighborhood Park. SAME Maryland Leadership and Mentorship Program will be joining us for this Earth Day celebration!!! The group will then migrate from Edgewood Neighborhood Park to the Green Turtle where all contributing park clean up volunteers will receive a free beer! NEWS RELEASE: Baltimore District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has activated its Emergency Operations Center, clearing the way for more than 1,100 engineering, construction, contracting and operations specialists to provide support to local, state and federal agencies following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, March 26, 2024. In accordance with USACE’s federal authorities, USACE will lead the effort to clear the Federal channel as part of the larger interagency recovery effort.
