Safe Routes Partnership reposted this
Public Health professional passionately working to address transportation inequities and make walking and biking safer, easier and more convenient across Minnesota.
I'm still buzzing from all of the energy at Minnesota's annual Safe Routes to School Meetup yesterday with nearly 60 attendees from across the state. The Safe Routes Partnership helped us kick of the day with inspiring success stories, guided discussions, and fun activities to help us envision what's possible in our local communities and advancing our SRTS program at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Later we built on SRTS and started to think about Safe Routes to Parks, youth engagement, and enjoyed a walk throughout Saint Paul to see the great infrastructure connecting people to schools, parks and food. A huge thank you to our collaborative partners who helped make this event possible: - Elissa Schufman and Max Singer at Move Minnesota - Ellen Pillsbury, Shirley Shoening Scheuler, and Austin Lowell at Minnesota Department of Health - angela olson at Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) - Sophie Kalow, MPH at Minnesota Department of Transportation - Dave Cowan and Kori Johnson at Safe Routes Partnership
