After winning the gold medal in the 100-meter sprint at the Summer 2024 Paris Olympics, Noah Lyles posted on X (Twitter) that he has a list of medical and mental health conditions, including asthma. Despite the severity of his symptoms, Lyles believes that if he can do it, why can’t you? Lyles is an inspirational example of how those with asthma, when given proper treatment and guidance, can do the same things as those without asthma. NEW DATA: MDH has updated its Quality Reporting System Public Use Files (PUFs) to now include summary data on Minnesota patients’ race, ethnicity, and preferred language. Additionally, this data is collected at the county level allowing for more specific data on each quality measure. What else is new? The data request process has been streamlined to allow immediate access to this PUF data! These PUFs covered eight types of medical conditions and screenings, including Adolescent Mental Health and/or Depression Screening, Colorectal Cancer Screening, and Optimal Diabetes Care. MDH is seeking feedback from families, community members, and professionals that support young children to help make updates to the Follow Along Program! As a community engagement team member, you would provide input at monthly, virtual, 2-hour meetings. You would also participate in online activities outside of meetings, such as filling out surveys or providing input on documents and materials. Community engagement team members will participate in activities from September 2024 to June 2025. Stipends of $75 per hour are available.
