  • This year, most of our Rosecrance locations commemorated Juneteenth with a range of meaningful activities and educational events. Through these events, our staff and clients had the opportunity to revel in the richness of diversity and deeply contemplate the progress that has been achieved, as well as the challenges that lie ahead.

  • When people are unable to express their emotions with words, art steps in as a powerful means of expression that articulates the unspoken sentiments of the soul. This concept took center stage at The Rosecrance Foundation Annual Benefit, “An Artful Evening with Rosecrance,” drawing a crowd of over 300 people to support those facing challenges related to mental health and substance use disorders. The event provided a glimpse into therapeutic recreation and showcased deeply personal and original artworks created by Rosecrance staff and clients, fostering connection, empathy, and hope.

  • Big thanks right back to the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office for spending time with us and learning about the clients and families we serve!

Our interns got an up close look at Rosecrance Ware Center as part of a site visit this afternoon. They learned about all the mental health and substance use programs and services offered by the team there. Big thanks to the staff who took the time to meet with us and show us around. We appreciate it very much!

Rosecrance Behavioral Health’s Access to Care Program is aiding Winnebago County residents at any stage of their mental health journey. The staff's focus on building strong relationships with clients is crucial in enhancing the outcomes for all. By operating at Rosecrance campuses and non-Rosecrance locations, the program aims to make it more convenient for individuals to access behavioral health services, ultimately contributing to the community's well-being. The success of the Access to Care Program has been supported by funding from the ½ cent sales tax. The allocation of funds generated by this tax by the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board has been instrumental in enhancing these vital services. By thinking creatively and being flexible, Rosecrance has been able to meet our community's needs and go beyond the traditional approach. While the summer break usually means a pause from school and loads of fun, it can also bring ups and downs for some children and teenagers. The summer break can be a challenging time for children and teenagers who are already struggling with their mental health. Without their daily routine while in school, the days can feel long and unstructured, which can intensify feelings of isolation and hopelessness. This is why it’s essential for parents and caregivers to be proactive in developing a plan to support and guide adolescents during this time.
