We Do Rescue
About us
Roco Rescue, Inc. is a leader in the field of technical rescue. We specialize in providing safe and effective training in the areas of confined space, high angle, rescue from fall protection, trench, structural collapse and other rescue and rope access disciplines as well as Contracted Safety and Rescue Teams (CSRT) and state of the art rescue equipment. Safety plays a vital role in our day-to-day operations. We are proud to have been named an OSHA VPP Star Worksite, which is the highest level within the program and one of the nation’s top safety awards. VPP stands for “voluntary protection program,” which is designed to promote effective worksite-based safety and health. The program recognizes a select group of companies where employers and employees have instituted a comprehensive and effective safety program. Key factors in VPP include employee involvement and continuous improvement. We operate in three main business areas: • Training – Roco provides training courses at the Roco Training Center (RTC), which is located near the Baton Rouge airport, or onsite at the customer’s location of choice. Participants are municipal, industrial or military emergency response personnel. • Equipment – Roco offers a variety of high quality safety and rescue equipment to compliment the training courses and meet the needs of our customers. • Contracted Safety & Rescue Teams (CSRT) – Roco’s trained and equipped teams of certified Confined Space Rescue Technicians are hired by industrial customers to stand-by onsite during turnarounds (maintenance) and/or construction projects.

Rescuers from all over converged at the Roco Training Center in Baton Rouge for an intense week of Rescue Essentials. Chief Dom Velasquez (New Mexico), Josh Blake (Nevada), and Kevin Isernia (New York) led the course. Students from Indiana, Louisiana, and Texas all showed they've got what it takes. Another busy week is in the books for the Roco Training Center. A couple of hot and dirty days of trench rescue trianing for this excellent team. Hopefully, we "unearthed" some hidden potential and "shored up" their knowledge and skills. High winds, hailstorms, and big cranes. Seems like a recipe for disaster. Not even close. Roco Rescue Director of Training Chris Carlsen and Roco Senior Chief Instructor Brad Warr were privileged to kick off our new relationship with Boise Fire Department for two days of fantastic Tower Rescue training. This talented group of rescuers kitted up and made well over 100 climbs in adverse weather, pulling off progressively more difficult rescues. Looking forward to spending more time with this great rescue team and fire department.
