The RBA’s Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is participating in the 2024 OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains this week in Paris, France. On May 21, the RMI, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), and the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC) co-hosted a session on opportunities for enhanced collaboration between upstream and downstream responsible supply chain programs to improve #mineral #SupplyChain #DueDiligence in the African Great Lakes Region. On May 23, the RMI spoke on a panel about due diligence amid conflict, opacity and dependency, with a focus on #Myanmar, from which a significant share of the global supply of heavy #RareEarth elements comes. The RMI also participated in a session on the responsible sourcing of sand and #silicates, which was organized by the University of Queensland. Additionally, the RMI held a consultation on its Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) 2.0 / ESG Standard Revision.
