The team at Barley Creek Brewing Company approached Fat Basset Design asking if we could redesign the packaging for their 11:01 Vodka line. The goal of the refreshed creative was to develop a brand block for the entire 11:01 Vodka line up that appealed to tourists coming in from NYC, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, while also being a proud gift for locals to give when visiting friends. To accomplish this goal, we set up a series of touch points that needed achieved which included being recognizable and visually appealing, while also developing a system versatile enough to handle a variety of unforeseen styles. Objectives: • Create versatility • Overall look should be Rust’Chic (rustic & chic) • Black & White vintage look, with color used only to differentiate between styles • Crisp, clean look • Present Original as the Flagship style Target Market: Vacationers from the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia areas Locals to the Pocono Mountains There are a number of elements within the creative that solve for the above touch-points such as the postage stamp border to reflect tourism, the filigree as a symbol of the wind coming down off the Pocono Mountains and the Barley Creek icon shaped window to see the beauty of the liquid in the bottle. That’s just a few of the elements that make up the fun we had in developing the creative. And with the help of Resource Label Group, we were able to these ideas to life! A crisp, clean sparkling wine. A staple at every party. A statement on any table. These were the basic ideals behind our signature Blanc de Blancs from the very beginning. Although the bubbles inside matched these occasions, the bottle was always a tad askew. We decided to re-brand our bottle, and knew: This time, we had to hit it out of the park. Internally, we went back and forth between ideas for several weeks and decided on a final design, but it wasn't until we partnered with Resource Label Group that our vision came to life. Quality, Longevity & Brand Recognition were our goals in tackling this project. With the patient help and guidance of Dario Zucconi, we were able to capture all three.
