New article from Simeone N. Miller, B.A.: "Alongside the American flags, the effects of the climate crisis fuels the bloodshed. With stagnating global efforts to mitigate or reverse it, the climate crisis blossoms into critical domain for international security and ironically snowballs into a larger disaster through the enduring presence of CO2 emissions during military operations." https://lnkd.in/emsv2JB5

New voices in the new world of foreign policy. Promoting diplomacy over war for a more prosperous future.
About us
Realist Review is an online media outlet that seeks to provide a fresh perspective on foreign policy. For the past several decades, American foreign policy discourse has been dominated by proponents of an intrusive and aggressive strategic mindset. The one-sided, interventionist nature of the current discourse impedes serious analysis and sound policy making, as the consequences of America’s actions in the Middle East have revealed. We believe that the only way to avoid repeating our errors is to have a more open, honest and informed conversation about foreign policy. At Realist Review, we aim to foster intellectual discussion by providing a platform for new voices to share their opinions on foreign policy. We want to empower voices who favor diplomacy over war and restraint over confrontation. We want to promote an informed and rational perspective of global issues. Most of all, we want to provide you with engaging commentary and passionate journalism about the world and the role America plays in it.

New article from Hao Gao: "An 'offshore balancing' strategy is not mere fiction on paper. Instead, it was used to be the foundation of the Carter Doctrine and the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force... a shift in the U.S. military strategy could represent a more sustainable and effective approach to ensuring regional stability and safeguarding American interests." https://lnkd.in/e8hp9nRf

New article from Corey Shiver: "Relentless diplomacy prioritizes diplomacy and engagement with international institutions over a reliance on relentless wars. With a crucial new emphasis on diplomacy in American foreign policy, the Department of Defense should be incorporated into this new strategy. The DoD should support a diplomacy-centered approach, but it can still serve to the benefit of America’s current and future security through military diplomacy." https://lnkd.in/ezT5nwYc

New article from Dylan Motin: "Seoul’s incentives to get nuclear weapons will only grow with time. For South Korea, the costs of developing nuclear weapons are decreasing while the dangers of not doing so are increasing by the day. Short of a bold diplomatic initiative or a return of U.S. nuclear weapons on the Peninsula, Washington should accept that nuclearization may be the only way out." https://lnkd.in/eyNYuvhS
