We are thrilled to share that Sangwu Lee has joined Quizard as the 5th core team member and our first Founding Engineer working with us in NYC 🧙♂️ Sangwu is an AI researcher from South Korea. Along with Sidhant Bendre, Sangwu is leading the research to improve our AI models that are being released in a new product we have in the pipeline. Sangwu is exceptional. Here are some highlights: - Published 12 papers in ML and HCI at top venues (AAAI, ICLR, ACL, Nature Digital Medicine, JMIR, ACII) during his undergrad, amassing 570+ citations. - Active collaborator with CMU's Language Technologies Institute on multimodal reasoning tasks using LLM/VLM. - Led the development of Health AI systems for diagnosing Parkinson's disease and movement disorders using multimodal data. His system helped gather data for 30,000 videos from 1300+ participants. In his free time, he: - Works on multimodal learning research and trains ML models on anime datasets. Built a 4M multimodal anime dataset he used for training various image generation models. - Is a mathematician at heart. He is currently plowing through Axler's Measure theory book. - Can eat a massive amount of all-you-can-eat sushi Sangwu, we are incredibly excited to have you on the team; time to build 🚀
