🌍✨ Faced with environmental challenges and social exclusion, an initiative that puts a smile on your face 😊🚴 In July, the city of Foggia unveiled its new shared e-bike system, Let's Fo, in collaboration with the Fondazione CON IL SUD, the University of Foggia and supermarket chain La Prima s.r.l. Mercati di città. The ambitious system aims to link up the city's various centers, making daily life easier for almost 14,000 students and university staff. The intriguing name "Let's Fo" was thoughtfully chosen. According to Maurizio Alloggio, it's "a play on words that encourages the zero-emission movement, echoing the popular football cheer Za Fo”. This project is not only a leap forward towards cleaner mobility, it also embodies Foggia's commitment to social inclusion. Managed by the talented, autistic young people of the iFun association, Let's Fo is a brilliant demonstration of how innovation can combine respect for the environment with social responsibility. It's a fine example of how the public, private and voluntary sectors can work together to improve the quality of life in Foggia, making it more sustainable and enjoyable. 👉 To find out more about this exciting project: https://lnkd.in/eDXV8QuY #SustainableMobility #UrbanInnovation #Micromobility #Foggia #Qucit #SocialInclusion

🚴♂️✨ A look back at Velo-city 2024! 🌍 This year's Velo City was once again a must-attend event for those involved in urban micromobility. During the week in Ghent, the Qucit team had the opportunity to meet cycling experts, learn about the latest in bike-sharing systems, take part in conferences on micromobility with international specialists, and share good times with other bike lovers. Here are just a few of the highlights: - the Cycling Industries Europe conference on bike-share systems "Which are the best ranking bike share cities in 2024". Raphaël Cherrier, who took part in the conference said that "to increase the use of bike-share systems, we need to electrify fleets, improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of operations". - the conference “Women in Cycling: bringing diversity to the bike sector". Experts such as Caroline VAN RENTERGHEM, Itsi Alveano, Melissa Bruntlett and Isabell Eberlein discussed the place of women in the cycling industry and the challenges they face, such as sexism, inclusivity, accessibility and representability in cycling. We're inspired by the meetings and exchanges we've had, and look forward to continuing to move forward together towards more sustainable cities. Thank you Velo-city 2024! See you next year in Gdansk, so excited to see Mevo, the bike sharing system operated by INURBA Mobility in person! #VeloCity2024 #Qucit #UrbanMobility #BikeSharing #Micromobility #SustainableCities
