Quality Steel Corporation is North America’s largest manufacturer of Propane Storage Tanks, Anhydrous Ammonia Nurse Tanks and other ASME certified Pressure Vessels for domestic and farm use. Founded by Lowry Tims in 1957 as a family owned business, the company has continued to grow both organically and through the 2013 acquisition of its major competitor, American Welding & Tank. Ownership of the company remains with both the family and now more than 40% with the employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. It continues to thrive and grow under the management of the founder’s son, CEO Jim Tims, and a strong, diverse management team. The company is proud to be a U.S. manufacturer with facilities in Cleveland, Mississippi, Fremont, Ohio, and West Jordan, Utah. Woot! We are breaking ground and expanding our facility at Buckeye Fabricating Company! So excited, it's been in the works for several years.
We are embarking on a Major Facility Expansion here at Buckeye Fabricating!!! Buckeye Fabricating Company is partnering with Ferguson Construction to add more than 33,000 square feet of manufacturing space to the current 15,000 square feet, resulting in a total of over 48,000 square feet. In addition to the increased production area, new locker rooms and a new breakroom will be built for the employees, along with an expanded and remodeled office area. This strategic move will allow Buckeye to service customers faster and to build pressure vessels weighing up to 80,000 pounds - a significant increase from the previous limitation of 20,000 pounds. The expansion is kicking off this week and is expected to be completed in 9 to 10 months. “This expansion positions Buckeye for continued growth in the custom vessel industry for the next decade and beyond,” said Gerad Miller, President of Buckeye Fabricating. He continued, “We are thrilled about the opportunity to enhance our capabilities and expand our team.” As part of the LT Corporation, Inc. family of companies, Buckeye Fabricating is a piece of a larger network of vessel and steel manufacturing companies across the United States, reflecting the company’s commitment to diversification and strengthening its profile within the industry. Investing in cutting-edge welding technologies will enable Buckeye Fabricating Company to meet increasing demands of its customers more efficiently. Over the next five years, Buckeye aims to bring on board up to 30 additional staff members, signaling its dedication to fostering a skilled workforce and strengthening the economic growth in the region.
