About us
The Printed Circuit Board Association of America is the sole association of U.S. domestic printed circuit board manufacturers and suppliers. PCBAA was established in 2021 by PCB manufacturers and other industry stakeholders amid rising geopolitical challenges. PCBAA seeks to promote an environment in which U.S.-based printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturers can thrive. Our consortium believes in market fairness and a level playing field on which U.S. PCB manufacturers can compete against competitors subsidized by foreign governments.

Experience the PCBAA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC through the lens of a first-time industry advocate! Thank you Tito Murillo and Data Electronic Services for your leadership and support - and for this tremendous video. Now everyone can see what it's like to advocate, educate and legislate on behalf of the #PCB and #substrates industry. #ChipsDontFloat #PCBSAct
It was an honor to advocate for the PCB board industry and connect with the dedicated members of the Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA) Meeting so many like-minded professionals and working together to push for the advancement of PCB manufacturing in the US was truly inspiring. It was also great to speak with Congress staffers about the key issues affecting PCB manufacturing. Engaging in these important conversations and working together to push for the advancement of our industry. I’m thrilled to finally share this video and celebrate the collective efforts that make our industry stronger. Thank you to everyone we met for your support and collaboration! #PCB #PCBAA #Advocacy #IndustryGrowth #WashingtonDC #printcircuitboard #pcb #pcbplating

In April, PCBAA and IPC sent a letter to House and Senate appropriation committees pointing out the industrial base risks tied to budget cuts and requesting restoration of this critical funding. The Senate appropriators took action that, if retained in the final conference report, will increase domestic production of secure and trusted printed circuit boards required for our national defense. #ChipsDontFloat #PCBSAct

In the latest "American Made Advocacy," PCBAA Chairman, Shane Whiteside reflects on our legislative progress - and how we're focused on expanding our education and advocacy efforts beyond defense. America's national and economic security is dependent on resilient power, telecommunications, banking and medical infrastructure. #ChipsDontFloat #PCBSAct

“Without a significant federal commitment to the U.S. electronics industry, all of those advanced chips coming soon from Arizona, New York and Ohio will still need to be shipped abroad to be packaged and interconnected on PCBs.” PCBAA’s David Schild and IPC’s Richard Cappetto make the case for fully funding the Defense Production Act for #PCBs and #substrates.

We're always grateful to Mike Buetow for the opportunity to share PCBAA's mission and message. Our Executive Director David Schild joined him to catch up on what's happening with #microelectronics legislation in Congress and the U.S. Department of Commerce's recent announcement. #ChipsDontFloat
The #CHIPSAct has hogged much of the oxygen in the tech industry for the past few years, but the industry trade group known as the Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA) is trying to build on that momentum by relentlessly pointing out that the board industry needs love too, or as they put it, chips don't float. David Schild, the executive director of the PCBAA, joins me on the #PCBChat #podcast to discuss the prospects of pending Congressional legislation to support the US #PCB industry, the need for domestic substrate and #bareboard production to complete the triad of the #semiconductor "stack," what the change in leadership from Travis Kelly to Shane Whiteside will mean, and a just-announced Commerce Department plan to allocate up to $1.6 billion in funding to support the packaging supply chain. #chipsdontfloat #printedcircuitboard #electronics #domesticmanufacturing
