Congratulations to the world-class team at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida for being recognized as one of America's Best Maternity Hospitals for 2024! We are proud to work with you and share your vision of ensuring the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies.

Mount Sinai is nationally recognized for providing world-class obstetric and gynecologic medicine from a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, neonatologists, and anesthetists, ensuring the best outcomes possible for mother and baby. In fact, our Labor and Delivery unit is the only one in the area to use PeriGen, a system that uses AI to analyze each patient’s vitals and data constantly. With PeriGen, physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals receive a visual indication of the patient’s current and previous conditions, cutting down on back-charting while increasing patient interaction. It’s no wonder Newsweek once again named us one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for 2024. Based on a nationwide survey of hospital managers and medical professionals, Mount Sinai is recognized for our compassion, expertise, and reliability in delivery and postpartum care. #MaternityCare #BestHospitals2024 #HealthyBabies #WeAreMSMC

"AI-driven remote monitoring systems can track patients’ vital signs and health metrics in real-time, alerting healthcare providers to potential issues before they become critical. This is particularly beneficial for managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Remote monitoring improves patient outcomes by enabling timely interventions and reducing hospital readmissions."

Excited to kick off the week by sharing our latest feature on CBS Health Watch! We are so proud to partner with hospitals like Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida who are at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions to improve outcomes for mothers and babies! "Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach uses a program called Vigilance by PeriGen to track a mother's progress through labor and delivery. While nurses monitor patients constantly, the AI's algorithm works in the background tracking changes every 15 seconds that could mean trouble for mom or baby." “This gives physicians some additional data points, nurses some additional data points to make good decisions for moms. It has some alerting mechanisms on it that if the computer system is seeing a patient where mom’s blood pressure and respiratory rate is low, it’ll alert us to that. Labor and delivery is a really busy place so this vigilance that you need to take care of moms, sometimes you get distracted to tend to another patient, this will pull you back to that patient and alert you to it.” -Kimberlee McKay, MD F.A.C.O.G. - Avera Research Medical Director

“Throughout medicine there is a growing expectation for precision medicine, namely healthcare that is optimized for an individual yet standardized. PeriGen has been using modern statistical techniques and multidimensional data for decades to advance this goal. We are gratified to see these concepts be considered a major scientific advance by the most prestigious journal in clinical obstetrics.” -Matthew Sappern, Chief Executive Officer at PeriGen Read the AJOG Report of Major Impact here: https://lnkd.in/gH_YSARs

"Experienced clinicians have always considered many factors to adjust their expectations when evaluating a mother’s progress in labor. These new labor curves use mathematical techniques to adjust expected labor progress objectively based on thousands of past observations. Results can be displayed and updated during labor making it quick and easy to see if a particular labor is “on course” given her specific circumstances." -John Parker, MD #nurse #healthcare #womenshealth #patientsafety #maternalhealth #perinatal #infanthealth #womenshealth
