Important action you can take today to let our Representatives in Washington know that funding prevention is not only essential for healthy outcomes, but is fiscally responsible as well!

And ANOTHER reason we chose to work with Adre. Congratulations!
! NEWS ! - Finalized Adre's Net Zero Fellowship from the Energy Trust of Oregon with three presentations: Portland, Bend, and online. Reseach project titled: "The Williams and Russell Project: District Systems for Equity-Centered Development" View final PDF of presentation here: https://lnkd.in/gi93yrkR Excerpts from article below: --- District systems basically act as a way to centralize energy, water and waste processes to make them more efficient and, in the case of energy, less reliant on the power grid. --- The research is "making it much easier for people to come after us who might want to do this, too, and they don't have to start from scratch," Hallová said. --- The research came as part of Energy Trust's Net Zero Fellowship program, run by Naomi Cole, who said the program has two main goals. "One is to address barriers to net-zero buildings in the market, and those could be technological, social, capacity, tools. Any sort of barrier that an architect, engineer (or) developer identifies," Cole said. "The other is to really grow the community of practice. So it's about addressing this barrier, and then disseminating the work socializing it, sharing it." #oregon #netzero #districtsystems

Support our good friends if you can. Critically important work. Key partners of ours.
We are nearly 60% of the way to our goal to replace two of our vehicles that were recently retired as they were beyond repair. You can help us reach our goal by donating today! Donate at: https://bit.ly/cws_donate When CWS can support survivors with transportation, barriers are removed that may otherwise delay their recovery. The ability to attend important appointments, visit housing options, and meet the needs of their children helps lighten the burdens that come with escaping domestic and sexual violence. With adequate transportation support, CWS can help survivors take the important first steps to long-term stability and independence. Donate today at: https://bit.ly/cws_donate #cwsor

The amazing Walsh team is helping create a true vision for Oregon’s kids and the future of our state. We can’t thank you enough.
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to tour the Parrott Creek Child & Family Services jobsite with some of our Walsh employees and witness the incredible progress being made! The addition of 22,410 SF of living, learning, treatment, recreation, and administrative space will double the capacity to care for 40 youth and broaden Parrott Creek's service offerings. Since 1968, Parrott Creek has offered evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment to youth and families impacted by the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, as well as support for those facing addiction, mental health challenges, and homelessness. These new buildings will support healing, preserve natural spaces for therapy and community access, stabilize lives, develop skills, and foster hope and success for residents. Additionally, under the leadership of Ameyalli Mañon-Ferguson, Parrott Creek’s Cultural Ecology Program is restoring 80 acres to be an ecologically and culturally functioning site, prioritizing traditional Indigenous ecological knowledge. This initiative aims to provide Indigenous people a safe place to gather resources, connect with the land, and engage in stewardship. Huge shoutout to our dedicated Walsh team members Afton Walsh, Patti M Miles, Hunter Rains, Dylan Miller-Moylan, and Caitlin Kelley, for their commitment to transforming the campus into a state-of-the-art facility. Phase 2 of this incredible project is still in the fundraising stage. Together, we can profoundly impact the lives of our youth, our Indigenous community, and our environment.
