The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis
Fundraising
We believe in the transformational power of parks.
About us
Since its creation in 1991, The Parks Alliance has been committed to changing expectations for Indianapolis’ parks by focusing resources in strategic areas that strengthen our community and elevate parks and trails and eliminate food insecurity. Our Mission: To connect resources to needs in support of Indianapolis’ parks and public spaces. Our Vision: To make Indianapolis a top 10 parks city in the country by demonstrating the transformative power of parks. For more than 20 years, The Parks Alliance has been proud to partner with the City of Indianapolis and the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) to lead the development and maintenance of Indy’s parks, trails, greenways, and public spaces. Having received over $17M in grants from the Lilly Endowment, we have made significant infrastructure improvements in the city’s most urban and utilized parks.

Since 2011, Indy Urban Acres has empowered and educated people by providing equitable access to free, high-quality produce. The farm has grown from a single site, harvesting 15,000 pounds of produce, to multiple sites harvesting 60,000+ pounds of produce each year. The expansion of the farm and increased impact wouldn't be possible without our our friend and partner Citizens Energy Group! Watch the video below to gain a better understanding of Indy Urban Acres, and the impact of clean water.
