The Parking Reform Network is a public benefit non-profit organization with the goal of educating the public about parking policy and assisting others with parking reform. Our focus is on the collection and dissemination of support materials, creation of networking opportunities, and policy review. Parking Reform is the use of policies and activism to discourage the building of excessive parking supply and encouragement of more equitable, efficient and sustainable management of existing parking supply (usually by pricing parking).

Hey there parking reformers! I'm on my way to #Cincinnati to attend (and present at) the Strong Towns National Gathering and The Congress for the New Urbanism this week. The Parking Reform Network has a strong contingent that will be at one (or both) events, including: Patrick Siegman, Todd Litman, Daniel Herriges, Laura Fingal-Surma, Kevin Hardman and many PRN members and supporters (like Catie Gould, Sam Sklar, Ivy Vann, Bernice Radle and Tim Corcoran to name a few). If you're going to be there and I didn't mention you, reply in the comments! It's not personal! If you're attending Strong Towns - Daniel and I are moderating a panel on Wednesday from 2-3:15. If you're attending CNU - Todd, Patrick, and I have a session on Thursday from 3:45-5. See you there!

Parking Benefits Districts for the Upper West and Upper East Side neighborhoods would be a complementary and transformative step for Manhattan following the implementation of #CongestionPricing in the Central Business Tolling District (just south of these neighborhoods!) in May 2024. Feeling inspired and super lucky that #CB7 invited the venerable Donald Shoup to present on dynamic parking pricing and how public services could be improved with these additional funds (transit passes! streetscaping! waste management!) that could be provided if we re-prioritize people over parked cars!
