I'm thrilled to announce the launch of Orca's Bleu Beauty; a first-of-its-kind live & social beauty retailer.
We're so fortunate to have Elena Severin overseeing the effort, bringing along her invaluable expertise in beauty retail and to have iconic investors like Toni Ko.
Live & social shopping is just a more human experience than a typical ecommerce website. We compiled sales performance data for this story and uncovered some incredible insights;
🔑 Year-to-date, at Orca, we're driving 30.98% higher AOV through live & social (on TikTok Shop) than one of our brands sees on their DTC site (during the same timeframe, across the same product assortment)
🔑 Year-to-date, in just livestreams, one of our apparel brands drives 5x higher rate of conversion to purchase than the average Shopify site
Recently, YouTube announced its Affiliate Tools are now open to all Shopify Plus & Advanced merchants. This means that we can now purchase some of the best products in the world while getting informed, entertained and interacting with our favorite creators on the largest content platform in the world.
As these capabilities continue to roll out across all platforms, shopping will become more engaging, interactive and content-forward.
Bleu Beauty is platform-agnostic and will publish shoppable content wherever the consumer is most comfortable spending their time. What separates Bleu Beauty from anything else out there is that it's aim is to be a complete shopping experience. Our hosts are informed, charismatic and a joy to spend time with (just like you'd expect when walking into a boutique on Melrose Place). And our product assortment is curated and trend-leading.
This is just the beginning, of course. Our goal is to now bring the vision of Bleu Beauty to life.
