Thank you to ITS Midwest for the shoutout on OmniAir Consortium Certification for #V2X!
Intelligent Transportation Society of the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio) | Outreach, Education & Support for ITS technical and planning activities
The #ITSMidwest Technical Committee would like to share the following sample Ohio DOT requirements regarding OmniAir Consortium certifications related to connected vehicle projects. IOOs that are looking to deploy Roadside Units (RSUs) should consider using the following language within their RSU specifications to reduce the need for including a large amount of technical requirements. "Vendors shall be OmniAir certified for C-V2X Release 1 or provide a letter from OmniAir stating that they are actively working toward certification and will become OmniAir certified for C-V2X Release 1 (LTE-V2X) within 6 months. Vendors must complete certification prior to any procurement activities being initiated. Agency has the option to select a different vendor, if selected vendor is not able to complete OmniAir certification within the 6 month period." For more information, please consult https://lnkd.in/eV_URNRn [omniair.org] at OmniAir." #ThisIsITS #ConnectedVehicles #V2X #specifications #intelligenttransportation #ITSMW
