Yesterday, The State Chamber attended a special reception held at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art to honor the men and women who proudly serve our nation through military service. The reception was held on the eve of the museum’s inaugural Military Appreciation Day and featured a welcome from OKCMOA President and CEO Michael J. Yesterday, The State Chamber was front and center at The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma Gathering. President Chad Warmington joined a panel and took the stage to discuss making your voice heard at the Capitol. The panel, joined by two State Chamber all-stars (J.T. Petherick of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, and Rep. Suzanne Schreiber), led insightful discussions about the importance of available and affordable childcare. Childcare is #WorkforceInfrastructure!

The State Chamber is saddened to learn of the passing of U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe. We had the pleasure of working alongside Inhofe for many years, sharing the same vision for a prosperous state. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. "We lost a great Oklahoman today. Sen. Inhofe had a 30 plus year career of relationships and getting stuff done. Inhofe was always bringing good projects to Oklahoma. His record was really unmatched. Inhofe’s service to Oklahoma, from mayor of Tulsa, all the way through the United States Senate is just remarkable. The Senator was just as genuine as you could be,” said Chad Warmington, President and CEO of The State Chamber of Oklahoma.
