ONC Celebrates 20 Years! As we celebrate the 20-year anniversary of ONC, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving every American as we reflect on where we began. ONC was created by Executive Order in April of 2004, when health care was primarily dependent on paper-based records and processes. Since our inception, we have watched health care transform significantly with the adoption of EHRs, the launch of the Health IT Certification program, and multiple policies that continue to propel information access and innovation in health IT. We are excited to see what lies ahead in the next 20 years. What has been your favorite part of this journey with ONC? See our full history: HealthIT.gov/20years #ONC20 #HealthIT

Who says work can't be enjoyable? Over the past six weeks, I've had the privilege of being a health informatics intern with the REMS Council and Rappahannock Local Health Department through VDH. I've contributed to various projects, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance data collection and reporting in public health. Many thanks to the REMS Council and RLHD for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this experience. I’ve learn new skills , strengthened known skills, and build connections. It's been truly fulfilling! #NSU #VDH #Healthinformatics #Publichealth
