Today, we extend our utmost gratitude to Erica Rodriguez Kight, Ph.D., lecturer in journalism, radio-television, and Hispanic media at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication and Media Dr. Kight's workshop on Professionalism in Communication specifically highlighted the importance of effective email writing to professors in college. Following the workshop, our students had the opportunity to practice by composing their own emails to professors. Don’t take this training for granted—it's harder than it looks when you're used to writing in abbreviations with no greetings or salutations. At PALS, we are proud that our students are empowered through #LeadershipDevelopment, #CollegePreparation, and other critical self-growth techniques. Volunteer Spotlight: Julissa R. Today, we're shining a spotlight on Julissa Rivera, Community Investment Associate at The Miami Foundation wand a true champion for change. Julissa recently volunteered as a speaker at our April monthly PALP meeting for youth leaders, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Julissa's passion for community investment and youth advocacy is truly inspiring. She encouraged our young leaders to identify causes they are passionate about, igniting a fire within them to make a difference.
