Vision: A world without cycles of unjust poverty where resilience & hope are cultivated in marginalized communities.
About us
We create and connect organizations that cultivate local, independent agricultural businesses in fragile, conflict-impacted communities. We address global food insecurity at the source by working with some of the world’s most marginalized rural communities. These communities are exceptionally vulnerable to poverty, conflict, and climate change. We equip both communities and individuals to build resilience and prosperity through sustainable agricultural businesses.

Aside from composting techniques, Nuru Nigeria's training program covers material selection and maintenance practices. The goal is to provide farmers with a low-cost, sustainable, and eco-friendly fertilizer made from local materials. This fertilizer supports local soil health and equips farmers to increase their yields. Read more: https://loom.ly/4OtiQ_Y

As part of Nuru Burkina Faso’s USAID-funded TIFR Project, farmer cooperative leaders have been trained on properly processing soybeans into tofu. This tofu can then be sold locally to support increased income for farmers through their cooperatives. Nabolé, a farmer cooperative president, shares: “The training we received on soybean processing was much appreciated by our cooperative. We were able to follow the whole transformation process, from the grinding of the seeds into paste, to the soy skewers (tofu) themselves. I'm very happy to have attended this training. I think it would be good to include it in our diet as we rarely eat meat for lack of means and soy is a really good alternative, as it tastes like meat and is good for your health.” Read more: https://loom.ly/qK4OICw #NuruBurkinaFaso #PlantingHope #FarmerCooperatives
