🌞 I have an exciting update! 🌞 As some of you may know, a few months ago, we started collecting period products in partnership with Amenity Aid to combat period poverty in our community. I'm thrilled to share that, to date, we've gathered enough supplies to support fifteen women for an entire year! A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed so far—your generosity truly makes a difference! We're in the final stretch of our donation drive with just two weeks left, and our goal is to help twenty girls and women! If you have any period products to donate, please drop them off at our office. Or message me and I'll share our Amazon wishlist. Thank you for your support and for being part of this important cause. Let’s make these last two weeks count! ☀

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Rhode Island | supporting entrepreneurs to grow and create jobs
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Akos Antwi recognized a critical gap in mental health care – there was a lack of support for individuals suffering from mental illness after being discharged from hospitals in Rhode Island, especially for those identifying as BIPOC. This led her to co-found Revive Therapeutic Services, a clinic which aims to provide the continuity of care that was sorely missing in the system. This journey wasn't without its challenges. "We didn't have a guide. There was no business structure or processes. We realized that the pace that we were growing was not going to work without figuring out systems and processes," Akos said. Taking a bold step, Akos and her team paused on accepting new clients to focus on building the organization's backbone. They developed comprehensive systems and processes for every role, from administration to clinical positions, ensuring that everyone moved in unison towards a shared vision. This strategic pivot transformed Revive and the results speak volumes about the importance of leadership and shared vision. Revive has grown to a diverse staff of 45, has served 3,500 clients since opening in 2021, and boasts a 95% client satisfaction rate. This #WomensHistoryMonth, I am excited to share Akos's story as a testament to the impact of women in leadership, particularly in fields as important as mental health. Join me in celebrating Akos and other women entrepreneurs who forge forward and make our communities better. #10KSB #MentalHealth

The sentiment encapsulated by Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail," perfectly echoed the vibe of our Women’s Business Council’s anniversary celebration, "Cheers to Four Years." It was truly inspiring to witness chamber members, friends, and family come together to honor our Trailblazer Yahaira "Jay" Placencia, CFP®, Difference Maker Sue Murray, and Game Changer Dr. Marianne Raimondo. We extend our sincerest gratitude to our sponsors: BankNewport, Navigant Credit Union, Customers Bank, Verizon, Centreville Bank, and Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. A special acknowledgment is deserved by our exceptional photographer, Pamela Beth Bhatia owner of Artistic Images.
