Bowel problems are one of the biggest daily challenges faced by people living with SCI – about 75% report problems with bowel accidents. A new research study (https://lnkd.in/esa9SC4i ) is testing whether electrical stimulation of the skin in the pelvic area can reduce the reflexes that cause bowel accidents. You may qualify for this study if you have a trauma-induced SCI between cervical level 1 and thoracic level 12. Compensation for participation and assistance with travel to the research site is provided. For more information contact Dr. Kim Anderson at kxa304@case.edu or study coordinator Ashley Callaway at 216-957-3518 or acallaway@metrohealth.org .
