On this week’s episode of the “Explain to Shane” podcast, Arun Gupta sits down with Shane Tews to discuss how NobleReach is committed to bridging the gap between Silicon Valley and Washington, DC and why we need to change the mindset around working in the government. Arun emphasizes the importance of a renewed partnership between government and entrepreneurs to tackle major societal issues. "We look at how you create a new partnership between government and entrepreneurs, and we need to shift the risk at the right time to folks who can take that risk, so that we can, as a collective society, innovate to go solve big problems.” Listen to the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/gzVjPTkK

📣 Omidyar Network is proud to announce our new partnership with Carnegie Mellon University! Alongside NobleReach™️ Foundation, we’ll be supporting CMU’s Open Forum for AI (OFAI), a new initiative led by Sayeed Choudhury focused on human-centered AI. OFAI will convene a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the AI ecosystem to create a new Openness in AI framework to foster transparency, safety, and inclusiveness. Through collective action, research, and advocacy, OFAI aims to influence policymaking and ensure that public interest and equity are prioritized in AI policy development. This launch signals an exciting move toward deeper technical understanding and more rigorous scrutiny in AI. “Omidyar Network has been a longstanding supporter of open source and has invested in many initiatives and organizations in this ecosystem. Open source AI, with its numerous benefits, catalyzes innovation by lowering barriers, increasing competition, and fostering a more inclusive environment. However, we also recognize the challenges and the need to move towards a responsible open source AI paradigm. We are proud to support Carnegie Mellon’s launch of OFAI as a lighthouse for Responsible Open Source AI research, policy, community and pro-social applications that this initiative can engender.” 💬 Michele Lawrence Jawando, Omidyar Network Senior Vice President 🌐 Learn more about this partnership: https://lnkd.in/gEEaTG3w

AI has the power to radically change the ways in which we conduct business, run civil society, and engage with one another on a daily basis - but does it also have the ability to power inclusivity? At this year’s Aspen Ideas Festival, NobleReach™️ CEO Arun Gupta sat down with a distinguished panel of experts to address this question. “Where I think the opportunity is is unleashing more experimentation,” noted Arun. “We are in a phase right now where we’re laying infrastructure, but we’re not at the use case stage yet. The key here is that access to AI is important, and we need to make sure that all communities have access.” Watch the entire discussion here: https://lnkd.in/e2gBv88K

Last week, NobleReach™️ was proud to host its Innovation for Impact Educators Course, equipping faculty with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach students how to innovate and deploy solutions to urgent civil, environmental, security, social, and technological challenges. Over three days, educators had the opportunity to engage with NobleReach executives and partners, discuss current trends in innovation, entrepreneurship and education, and hear from student participants about their experiences in the program. When they return to their classrooms with these new insights, participating educators will be able to provide the next generation of students with business insights and research methodologies they can use to solve the world’s most critical problems. “We need to give people tech, but more importantly allow them to learn and explore it,” said NobleReach CEO Arun Gupta Click here to learn more about NobleReach’s Innovation for Impact curriculum and how to get involved: https://lnkd.in/eCUNatVw #InnovationForImpact #Education #Entrepreneurship #NobleReach
