Over 20 different countries participated in this year's #NICECyberCon24! We could not have done it without the support of Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy and FIU Jack D Gordon Institute for Public Policy.
Today marks the beginning of the 2024 NICE Conference & Expo in Dallas, Texas. Cybersecurity plays a crucial role in our daily lives, impacting everything from national security to economic prosperity. Yet, despite its importance, there remains a significant global shortage of cybersecurity professionals, with a reported gap of 4 million workers worldwide. This year, CDP is funding over 30 international participants from government, industry, and academia to contribute to discussions on building a global cadre of cybersecurity expertise. The theme of this year's conference, "Strengthening Ecosystems: Aligning Stakeholders to Bridge the Cybersecurity Workforce Gap," couldn't be timelier. Addressing this gap will require collaborative efforts, both domestically and internationally, to train and build a capable, global workforce. With two full days of insights from experienced thought leaders and a focus on international perspectives in cybersecurity education and workforce development, the conference provides a unique platform for stakeholders from government, industry, and academia to come together, share knowledge, and forge meaningful partnerships. We will continue to empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to build a safer, more secure digital world.
