This year, VERG has partnered with Ponies North, pairing rescued mustangs with veterans for therapeutic benefits. One of our very own VERG members, Christina, will embark on a 1,500-mile ride from Arizona to Montana to raise awareness and funds for veteran suicide prevention. Last month, as part of our commitment to sustainability and supporting our local project communities, we donated two benches made from recycled wind turbine blades to Bloomfield and Crofton Community Schools on behalf of the North Fork Wind Farm. These benches not only enhance school environments with renewable, repurposed seating but also allowed us to partner with Northeast Community College to discuss exciting career opportunities with the wind energy instructor present at the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Today, National Grid Renewables announced the start of operations at our Wild Springs Solar Project in Pennington County, South Dakota. As the largest solar project in the state, Wild Springs will bring many benefits to local and state communities, including approximately $29.5 million in direct economic impact over the first 20 years of operation.
