Yesterday, NFBPA had the incredible opportunity to visit the groundbreaking exhibition, "The Harlem Renaissance and Transatlantic Modernism," at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This exhibition, running from February 25 to July 28, 2024, showcases the extensive and impactful ways in which Black artists depicted everyday modern life during the 1920s-40s in Harlem, New York City, and the South Side of Chicago, as well as across the nation during the early years of the Great Migration. In addition to our visit to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NFBPA also had the privilege of exploring the remarkable Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Located in Harlem, this renowned research library is part of The New York Public Library and is globally recognized as a significant cultural institution. . . #SchomburgCenter #BlackCulture #NFBPAVisitsHarlem 📚🌍
