We recently celebrated the completion of our 2024 Leading on the Cutting Edge program, an intensive 6-month leadership development program designed to strengthen the foundation for future success. Throughout the month of July, we'll be featuring graduates. Today, meet Kailey Magarelli of Manasquan Bank. "I am proud to be a graduate of NJBankers' Leading on the Cutting Edge. This program changed how I view leadership and has helped shaped the leader I want to become. Each class challenged my current viewpoint on various topics and opened my eyes to other perspectives. As new opportunities arise, I feel more prepared to step outside my comfort zone and will always remember to lead by example."

This week, we’re celebrating #BeNiceToNewJerseyWeek, which began in 1985 as a way to embrace the positives of the Garden State. Each day, we give you reasons why New Jersey is #1 in our books. According to NJ.gov, New Jersey is among the leaders in many forms of agricultural production. New Jersey ranks: 5th in blueberry production, 3rd in cranberry production, 3rd in spinach, 3rd in bell peppers, and 4th in peach production. Our state also produces an abundance of tomatoes, corn, apples, strawberries, potatoes, hay, soybeans and nursery stock.

New Jersey has some of the best beaches around – almost 130 miles worth. There’s Asbury Park, Belmar, Cape May, Long Branch, Ocean Grove, Point Pleasant Beach, and Ship Bottom, just to name a few. You don’t have to leave the state to take a beach vacation! What’s your favorite beach to frequent in the summer?

This week, we’re celebrating #BeNiceToNewJerseyWeek, which began in 1985 as a way to embrace the positives of the Garden State. Each day, we give you reasons why New Jersey is #1 in our books. According to the Hoboken Historical Museum, Hoboken’s Elysian Fields hosted the first recorded baseball match played by recognizably modern rules on June 19, 1846. The New York Nine defeated Alexander Cartwright’s Knickerbocker squad in a game reported in New York newspapers. Many baseball historians state that this event marked the birth of modern baseball.
