About us
The Navy SBIR Transition Program (Navy STP) supports the successful transition of Navy SBIR/STTR-funded technologies into military acquisition programs, commercial markets, or both. Now in its 25th year, the Navy STP serves as a platform for connecting SBIR/STTR-funded technologies with warfighters, government acquisition and technical personnel, prime contractors, system integrators, and other potential partners and collaborators. This DoN SBIR Program initiative takes a holistic approach to assisting participating small businesses in transitioning their innovative technologies that address the specific needs of the U.S. Navy. Through business mentoring, one-on-one coaching, marketing strategy development, marketing material creation, networking events, and promotional activities, the program provides comprehensive support to help small businesses navigate the complex transition process. Funded by the DoN SBIR Program, all small businesses with active Navy-funded Phase II SBIR/STTR awards are eligible to participate in the program during the first or second year of their Phase II development and demonstration work. Navy STP participating small businesses achieve a 68 percent greater likelihood of transitioning their technology than those that do not participate.

AOSense, Inc, a developer and manufacturer of quantum technologies, participated in #NavySTP with their technology for quantum-atomic inertial measurement units (QuIMUs). Brent Young, president of AOSense, said, “We really appreciate the opportunity to participate in Navy STP. We are a fairly small company with 35 employees, so we don’t have a large marketing department. It is helpful to get feedback from professional experts in this area to help improve our ability to commercialize our technology.” Watch AOSense's testimonial: https://lnkd.in/eJUCvhAz Interested in learning more about this #innovativetech? Navy SBIR/STTR Transition Program (Navy STP) I'll be working with their new cohort today to ensure they have a deep understanding of the DoD cybersecurity requirements in contracts. Established by ONR over 20 years ago, Navy STP continues to make an impact on SBIR businesses’ ability to achieve a transition: Companies that participate in Navy STP have an 18 percent greater likelihood of transitioning their technology compared to those that do not participate. If you are a DoD organization who wants similar support for your tech transition - there is a process at DAU called Mission Assistance! Drop me a line to learn all about it.

Expeditionary Hydrogen On Ship & Shore (EHOSS) solicitation just posted! The U.S. Military’s ability to operate effectively in austere environments is directly tied to its logistical capabilities. The use of hydrogen (H2) as an alternate fuel source could partly mitigate these challenges. The DoD seeks to prototype an integrated electrolysis-based H2 production, storage and distribution system capable of producing and dispensing a minimum of 20kg H2 in a 24 hour period at an efficiency using 100kW or less power. For details on the potential solution please visit: https://lnkd.in/dckjHGVy Solutions requested by 7/25/2024 #hydrogen #energy
