AOSense, Inc, a developer and manufacturer of quantum technologies, participated in #NavySTP with their technology for quantum-atomic inertial measurement units (QuIMUs). Brent Young, president of AOSense, said, “We really appreciate the opportunity to participate in Navy STP. We are a fairly small company with 35 employees, so we don’t have a large marketing department. Navy SBIR/STTR Transition Program (Navy STP) I'll be working with their new cohort today to ensure they have a deep understanding of the DoD cybersecurity requirements in contracts. Established by ONR over 20 years ago, Navy STP continues to make an impact on SBIR businesses’ ability to achieve a transition: Companies that participate in Navy STP have an 18 percent greater likelihood of transitioning their technology compared to those that do not participate. Expeditionary Hydrogen On Ship & Shore (EHOSS) solicitation just posted! The U.S. Military’s ability to operate effectively in austere environments is directly tied to its logistical capabilities. The use of hydrogen (H2) as an alternate fuel source could partly mitigate these challenges. The DoD seeks to prototype an integrated electrolysis-based H2 production, storage and distribution system capable of producing and dispensing a minimum of 20kg H2 in a 24 hour period at an efficiency using 100kW or less power.
