Powering the future of student transport with IC Bus and Navistar Inc! 🔋🚍 We're thrilled to kick off our #TRATONGROUP Customer Electrification Journeys series, showcasing real-world examples that prove #electric trucks and buses are already a reliable and effective solution. 🌟 Our first spotlight is on the Beaverton School District in Oregon, a true leader in #sustainable transportation. As of August 2023, they have integrated 24 IC Bus Electric CE Series school buses into their fleet. With 26 more units on order and a target of 80 electric buses by the end of 2025, they are setting a powerful example in #electrification. “We are very pleased with our IC Bus EV units. They have proven to be dependable, easy to operate, and have exceeded our expectation", said Craig Beaver, Administrator for #Transportation with the Beaverton School District. INTERN SPOTLIGHT! As we move through the summer, we’ll be highlighting our Navistar Inc interns representing Navistar across the country by learning about who they are, where they’re from and their role with us this summer. This week we’re introducing you to our interns located at the Huntsville Powertrain Manufacturing Plant.   What is the Huntsville Powertrain Manufacturing Plant and how do they support Navistar’s product? •The Huntsville Powertrain Manufacturing Plant is a technologically advanced powertrain manufacturing facility. The highly flexible assembly line utilizes error-proofing and in-process quality audit stations to build quality product in station. The Huntsville Plant currently supplies Navistar vehicle assembly plants in Springfield, Ohio and Escobedo, Mexico. Navistar, Inc. is dedicated to consistently delivering reliable and durable products with superior value to our customers.   Which of our interns are supporting Huntsville this summer? • Wyatt Foutch: My name is Wyatt Foutch and I am from Franklin, TN. I am a Senior studying Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In my free time I enjoy playing video games with friends, disc golf, and going shooting. I have really enjoyed getting to be here at Navistar Huntsville and get some hands-on experience on the plant floor and be up and moving pretty much the entire day.   • Matthew Grimm: My name is Matthew Grimm, and I am from Huntsville, Alabama. I am a senior at the University of Alabama Huntsville, and my major is Industrial and Systems Engineering. I like to be outside and enjoy fishing, hunting, and playing soccer. I am looking forward to getting hands on with work this summer and assisting the manufacturing line in any way that I can.
