National Child Care Association
Government Relations Services
A trusted, nonpartisan voice for licensed providers of quality early childhood care and education programs since 1987.
About us
The National Child Care Association (NCCA) has been a trusted, nonpartisan voice for licensed providers of quality early childhood care and education programs since 1987. It was formed to be an influential voice at state and national legislative tables. The NCCA began as a federation of state associations that appointed state leaders to serve as the Board of Directors at the national level. In recent years, membership has been extended to individuals and centers in order to raise a larger and more unified voice for the licensed early childhood education community. Do you believe that every child deserves early care and education at the highest standards and at an affordable price? Do you want to become a voice for sustainable policies and practices in licensed high-quality early care and education programs? Do you want to promote the success of such programs through professional development, advocacy, and community involvement? Every day, early childhood educators and providers partner with the NCCA to lead the conversation on what it takes to ensure that ECE professionals have the necessary support to do what is best for families and children.

An empowering message for and about the Early Childhood community: “We are the workforce behind the workforce.” Truth. Thank your child’s teacher/child care provider for the important (and hard) work they do each day.
I have a special message for all early childhood educators! As you know, we have the most important job in the world—caring for and educating America’s young children! Our profession has come a long way, and we must continue to walk in our greatness, speak up, and advocate for ourselves, our families, and the communities we serve. We are major players in the U.S. economy and infrastructure. Our voice and presence are not only essential but necessary. Let’s continue to build and create our own tables where we own our narrative. Let's collaborate, participate, and take our seats unapologetically at all tables where child care is discussed. We belong there, and don't let anyone tell you differently. We have power, influence, and grace. Let’s use it collectively to enhance and innovate our profession. We have been doing amazing work across the country for years—now is our time to show the world. So, with that being said, no longer will we say we do not have a seat at the table. We are the table!
