Healthcare contributes about seven times the music industry's revenue to the Nashville economy. On Tuesday, Nashville Health Care Council President Apryl Childs-Potter was a panelist at the "Business Grows Here Nashville" conference hosted by Oracle. Childs-Potter said Tennessee has a lot going for it, but the state isn’t immune to workforce shortages impacting the entire country. “It’s human capital,” she said, addressing a statewide labor shortage. “And data shows us that it’s going to continue to be this way.” Childs-potter said health contributes about $67 billion annually, while music's annual contribution is closer to $10 billion.
