HII Mission Technologies took part in a table-top exercise organized by the Hudson Institute and the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) the week of July 1. Pictured is HII Unmanned Systems third generation MUUV; the REMUS R620, conducting sea trials this past year. “The exercise focused on the JMSDF's incorporation of unmanned systems,” said Gary Rogeness, senior director of business development in Mission Technologies’ Unmanned Systems business group and a retired submarine officer.“ This event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Mission Technologies’ wide array of REMUS autonomous undersea vehicles in various scenarios. It also allowed us to offer our close ally valuable expertise in developing future concepts of operations. Special thanks to Bryan Clark, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, for leading the crucial discussions and ensuring industry representation at this significant event.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/egNrtddK

3 week check-in! 👩🏻💻 💼 📊 I have officially completed my first three weeks as a Financial Operations Intern at Mission Technologies, a division of HII! I have had the pleasure of working in both the Tysons and Fair Lakes offices with my fellow interns Sabine Soong and Jacob Amspaugh, alongside our mentors Elizabeth Turk, Greg Milans, Chris Lincoln, and Wendy Williams. We have been working with multiple business units within the company to examine their financial performance and create backlog and waterfall reports for corporate. We've also had the opportunity to sit in on financial review and proposal meetings with the CFO, presidents, and financial directors of each business unit. I have already learned so much and cannot wait for the next seven weeks of networking, opportunity, and growth. Thanks again to Mission Technologies for this opportunity to advance my financial career!

Mission Technologies, a division of HII reposted this
June 19 is #Juneteenth. On this day in 1865, U.S. Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger issued General Order No. 3, which informed the people of Texas that slavery had ended in the United States and that all enslaved people were free – two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Join HII as we reflect on the significance of the holiday and celebrate freedom for all.
