A fun morning with WDAF-TV FOX4 talking about our garden project that’s been in the making for almost 6 months. Never thought I’d be spearheading and launching a garden in an MLB stadium, but here we are, and we are excited for the good this will do for our Urban Youth Academy families and be included in ballpark recipes. Incredibly thankful for great partners like Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc, Globally Responsible Production, Evergy, Brummel Lawn and Landscape LLC, Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, and Cultivate KC. A huge shoutout to Jed Miller for being a rock and voice of reason throughout this planning. Thankful for our partnership, but overall friendship in getting this project to the finish line. We are joining with various community partners to create a garden at Kauffman Stadium that will beautify the space and provide tangible benefits like fresh produce and educational opportunities.
