The Dotte Mobile Grocer, "Dottie" for short, is a refrigerated grocery store on wheels. When she makes her stops at locations around eastern KCK, one thing is clear. It takes a lot of fuel to keep her on the road! Tomatoes. Corn. Peppers. July is peak season for local produce! As you enjoy the incomparable taste of locally grown fruits and veggies, please think about the farmers who face enormous challenges to bring it to you. Farmers in KC deal with problems like rising land prices, climate change that fuels extreme weather events, and more. But they aren’t dealing with them alone. Join us in supporting KC farmers with a recurring donation. Here are a few reasons you should consider a monthly gift: - 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁. Donate once and provide impact for years. Your donation automatically processes each month, unless you choose to modify it at any time. - 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁. Smaller, consistent gifts can be more affordable and easier to budget for than larger, one-time gifts. And they compound their impact over time. - 𝗜𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. We are better able to respond to unexpected challenges when we can rely on monthly gifts to support our day-to-day programs. - 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽! Dripline members receive a special newsletter to keep you in the loop about the impact of your donation. You’ll also receive invitations to private events and a few other perks throughout the year. Over the next few weeks, we'll show you the impact of different levels of giving. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁! DONATE TODAY: www.cultivatekc.org/donate

Our Dig In! farm-to-table dinner dates back to 2012. This year we reimagined the event on a smaller, more intimate scale, and held our first Dig In! @ event. 𝗗𝗶𝗴 𝗜𝗻! @𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 was held on June 20th, and it was an inspirational evening. Recent New Roots graduate Biak Par spoke to our guests about her family, her history, and her participation in the four year farm training program. "Some days when I’m really tired I think about how much my parents strived to support us and bring us to where we are today. My work is a tribute to my parents,” she said. Read more through the link below. And if you believe in our mission, and would like to support Cultivate KC and farmers like Biak Par, 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬: https://lnkd.in/gXithwjZ
