About us
Find Yourself Here! We are North Texas' leading nonprofit dedicated to helping people with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and severe emotional problems live healthier lives. We support those with depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia, anxiety, autism, ADD, ADHD among many other challenges, including trauma. OUR OPPORTUNITIES Metrocare hires psychologists and psychiatrists (bilingual and Spanish-language skills are needed and valued). We have research programs, and we train a new generation of mental health and disability professionals for work in the public sector. OUR SERVICES Metrocare serves over 50,000 people annually. We provide adult mental healthcare services, including medication management, children and adolescent mental healthcare services, developmental disability services for adults and children, early childhood intervention services, primary healthcare services for families, pharmacy services, and social services that include housing services, occupational services, suicide prevention, and foster care training and monitoring. OUR CLINICS Our 14 clinics and satellite clinics (including 7 main clinics) include two Centers for Children with Autism in Dallas and DeSoto. Mental Health Clinics are in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Addison. We are expanding more satellite clinics each year too! Posts on LinkedIn do no constitute medical advice. Another inspiring #IDD training session 🧡 We teamed up with the City of Dallas’ Mayor and City Council Office and Office of Equity and Inclusion for a groundbreaking training. Carrie Parks, our Chief of Provider Services, provided elected officials and their staff with an overview of history, care and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With Texas' IDD services facing crisis, we're grateful for our community partnership with the City of Dallas, as together we continue to raise awareness and make a policy impact for this crucial cause.
