MedTech Color aims to advance the representation of underrepresented ethnic minority groups in MedTech.
About us
MedTech Color (MTC) is a 501(c)(3) that aims to advance the representation of underrepresented ethnic minority groups in the Medical Device Industry. We have three core objectives: - Build and support a community of that sponsor and mentor to increase the number of leaders of color. - Increase the number of African Americans who enter and stay in MedTech. - Add tangible value to the MedTech ecosystem via thought-leadership. MTC is the only Industry-specific non-profit focused on ethnic diversity in the MedTech ecosystem. MTC Partners can provide capital and in-kind services towards diversifying panels at major MedTech conferences, nominating thought leaders for MTC sponsored events, and becoming an anchor sponsor for planned pitch competition.

We love to see our MedTech Color founders and friends win! Congratulations Derek Banyard, MD, MS, MBA!🏆🎉 Sayenza Biosciences #startupworldcup #medtechinnovation #medtechdiversity #medtechcolor #diversifyingmedtech
CEO at Sayenza Biosciences | Executive Director at the Arthur L. Garnes Society | Physician-Scientist-Entrepreneur
Existing as a startup CEO comes with a lot of Ls and a lot of NOs. There are no participation trophies - which makes this win particularly special. The Startup World Cup is an internationally regarded, industry agnostic pitch competition. I've known about it for years and never thought I'd get a chance to grace the stage and compete against the world's most innovative startups, of every type, and many with customers and revenue (unlike us - hell, we don't even have a product yet), but alas, here we are. This #win is a testament to our vision, grit, and resolve. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gx7Cti-n I want to give a special thanks to the judges: Alexander Bechelli, Eric A Cox II, Ray Chan, Josh Bois ✔, Linda Horioka (Fitz), and Serena Lewis as well as the incredible startups and founders I competed against: Heavenly (Dayoon Yoon, MBA) Crafty Palate (Patrick Nassar) Eatery.app (Kyle Sanders) facil.ai (Keith Gipson) Hago Energetics Benefit Corp (Wilson Hago) Hamilton Perkins Collection (Hamilton Perkins) Mapsol Geo (Dr. Kiran Manchikanti) Welfie (Steven Moyo, MD) Werkflow (Jessie Ma) Also, a special thanks to the sponsors: Southwest Airlines Grid110 Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) California African American Chamber of Commerce RevHubOC - The Orange County Center for Innovation & Social Enterprise InfinitiLaw Orange County OC Startup Council #fatisthefuture #stemcells #plasticsurgery #regenerativemedicine #fatgrafting #orthopedics #orthobiologics #NESVF #LotusProGraft #adipose #fundraising #startupworldcup cc: Sayenza Biosciences
