Read 360Giving latest guest blog post featuring members of our incredible Impact & Evaluation team! 👇
🗨 "Our journey toward embedding transparency, accountability, and diversity within impact and evaluation has been marked by thoughtful deliberation, ethical considerations, and collaborative efforts. By participating in initiatives like the 360Giving open data publishing initiative, we demonstrate our commitment to contribute to positive change." 💬 In our latest guest blog, Johanna Haffenden (MSc, Dip. Cert.) and Ames Petzoldt of the Masonic Charitable Foundation discuss the key principles that drove them to responsibly share data on grants to individuals and their families alongside data on grants to organisations. With impact and evaluation as a catalyst, they explain how this work has helped them to drive forward transparency, diversity and accountability in their grantmaking. By publishing data on their grants to individuals, they sought to also better understand their role in the wider grantmaking picture and how they can actively contribute to positive change. You can also learn about some of the challenges they faced in the process of sharing anonymised data on these grants while being transparent, and how they found the right process for their organisation to achieve this – using 360Giving guidance as a roadmap, but adapting the approach to their specific needs and requirements. Read the new blog below – and if you’re part of an organisation that makes grants to individuals, take a look at 360Giving’s support options and get started sharing and using the data. https://lnkd.in/eWPiaZpR #OpenData #Philanthropy
