Structural Engineering Intern | Structural Engineering Graduate Student at Colorado School of Mines
A little over 2 months ago I started my structural engineering internship with Martin/Martin, Inc and it has been an incredible learning and growth opportunity for me, and I could not be more thankful for that up to this point. Throughout the summer I have had the opportunity to work with and be mentored by fantastic people such Tonya Major, Liam Bramley, Kevin Garrett, Ralph Rempel, Renee Ereckson, and so many others. I have got to help design lateral bracing systems, point bracing systems, composite steel sections, retaining walls, concrete foundations, connection pieces and so many other structural pieces it's hard to remember them all. All the while, I have been diving into and learning a ton of the industries complex software's to aid in my development and understanding of all of the hand calcs I have been performing on the previously mentioned items. I’ve used programs such as Revit, Ram Elements, Ram Structural Systems, Ram Connection, L-pile, Hilti Profis, and S-Concrete. On top of all of that, I have really enjoyed getting to be a part of the various committee's and rec league teams that happen outside of normal hours! The mentoring committee, YEF committee, and summer new hire/intern program have been tremendous for my growth professionally outside of just the technical realm. Looking forward I couldn't be more excited to stay on as a part time intern during my one year of grad school. Super stoked for what's to come!

Walton School of Medicine) unique project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our crew. The owner's active involvement has been incredibly beneficial. Despite a tight deadline, our self-performance capabilities have allowed us to excel in every phase—from dirt work and excavation to concrete and steel. We can't imagine tackling this job without our dedicated team. Building it right is our top priority, and we're committed to meeting the high expectations of the architect and owner.

Exciting to see the progress we're making on AMLI Golden Triangle in Denver!
AMLI’s next Denver development is well underway. AMLI Golden Triangle is at the corner of 8th & Broadway in the heart of Denver’s walkable, iconic & historic cultural hubs, which include the Golden Triangle neighborhood & South Broadway corridor. This new community will have 372 luxury apartments with ground-floor retail, extensive amenities, and amazing views of the Colorado mountains from the 16th-floor sky lounge and roof deck. AMLI started construction in January, and resident move-ins are anticipated for Summer 2026. AMLI is proud to have local industry leaders working on the project including Swinerton Builders as the general contractor and Davis Partnership Architects, Norris Design, TRIO Design, & Martin/Martin, Inc. all working on the design aspects of this development. Kudos to the team overseeing this development, Isabelle Lockwood, who heads up AMLI’s Denver development team, Amy W., AMLI’s Senior Development Associate, and all those working hard on this project.

We shared insights on #CivilEngineering, explored drainage with a rain garden activity, and showcased Martin/Martin's Marquez Hall project.
