MARTA's Sustainability Department is committed to creating a positive impact in the community through various initiatives, including promoting sustainability within transit and hosting community engagement events and educational programs. The Undergraduate Business Student Leadership Conference (UBSLC) in February 2024, held at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, brought together students from diverse backgrounds to explore innovative ideas for increasing ridership, with a focus on sustainability within MARTA. The conference's theme, "Sustainable YOU for a Sustainable Future," emphasized the vital need for sustainable practices in our everyday lives. This spring, MARTA collaborated with the Global Growers Network (GGN) to host a community engagement event at the Indian Creek Station celebrating Earth Week. Read their current newsletter at https://bit.ly/3yaKL1r to stay updated on MARTA's sustainability efforts and learn how to get involved by following @MARTATransit on social media.
