It has been great to be in a peer group of HVAC Duct Manufacturing companies with Nate Simpson and his team at Tin Man Duct. The knowledge shared among the members has been so valuable in the elimination of waste and the improvement in pounds per hour produced in our shops!
How is the DMA unique? I actually came on and have lately taken the reins from my father who started the company but when I came on about five or six years ago, we were already a member. I can just say that his philosophy was always if you’re not moving ahead your falling behind, especially in an industry like ours they’re just aren’t a ton of resources on best practices for the things we do, and to have a group like this where there’s people where you can tap into the shared experience, into hundreds of years of combined experience of running duct shops, as well as it can be done, it’s completely irreplaceable. There’s no other way to be able to tap into that kind of experience and gain that knowledge, and be able to improve and converse with people, who, thankfully probably will never compete with you, because it’s such a localized business. The upside is gigantic, and there’s very very little to no downside!

We are thrilled to introduce Garrett Tice, our newest addition to the Manufacturing Solutions team. With an impressive background and a passion for fabrication, Garrett brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our team. Garrett's journey in the world of fabrication began back in 2009 at Technical Sales International (TSI), where he started as a support representative. Over the years, he honed his skills and quickly advanced to roles such as trainer, consultant, and implementation specialist, traveling across continents to implement and train on Autodesk Fabrication products. His career took him through various companies, including DC CADD /Enceptia, where he played a pivotal role in rebranding the company and expanding its services beyond CAD design. Garrett and his team wrote the book on fabrication. Later, Enceptia was acquired by Applied Software, where Garrett continued to excel as a Senior Fabrication Specialist and eventually as the Director of Fabrication. With an unwavering dedication to his craft, Garrett's expertise has been recognized industry-wide. Garrett led a team at Applied Software, supporting and training the industry while developing custom post processors. Outside of his professional endeavors, Garrett is a simple man who cherishes downtime with his family in a charming small town in East TX. He enjoys fishing and the occasional hog hunt when time permits, and has even explored 48 states, all in the pursuit of his passion for fabrication. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Garrett to our team and look forward to the invaluable contributions he'll make to our continued success.
