🌞 Time to get out and play! 🌞 In the spirit of the warmer summer season, we want to highlight one of our star sports facility projects: the Camas High School Fieldhouse. With batting cages and flexible field configurations, the fieldhouse is a year-round, cross-training haven for athletes, preventing overflow issues during rainy days. It also serves the school’s track and athletics needs, physical education and fitness classes, and remains open to the community for general use. This project is part of a larger build-out, which included resurfacing the varsity softball and baseball fields, bleachers, tennis courts, and track and field facilities at the school. The fieldhouse’s integrated flexibility provides a world-class experience for student-athletes, maximizing the benefits of public dollars invested in the project. #Summer #SportsFacility #CamasHighSchool #Fieldhouse #AthleteTraining #CommunityUse #Architecture #PhysicalEducation #FitnessClasses #CamasWA

Don't you just love a good before and after? The former site of Eagle Street Automotive was remodeled into a modern, energy-efficient home for one of the nation’s most innovative energy optimization companies, PEC - Pacific Energy Concepts. Capitalizing on the company’s expertise in energy conservation and sustainability, PEC and LSW partnered to create one of the best creative office spaces in the city by reclaiming an old, blighted industrial building and turning it into nearly 16,000 square feet of space that they proudly call their headquarters. By saving and revitalizing a building that was ready for tear-down, we rejuvenated a whole portion of downtown Vancouver that had once been forgotten. This transformation provided a launching point for a second commercial development across the street, creating an active, jobs-focused urban site. #BeforeAndAfter #AdaptiveReuse #EnergyEfficient #CreativeOfficeSpace #UrbanRevitalization #HistoricPreservation #DowntownVancouver #InteriorDesign #CommercialDevelopment

On this Juneteenth, we honor Frederick Douglass's enduring legacy and recommit to designing spaces that foster inclusivity, justice, and community. The Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge embodies these ideals, bridging divides and inspiring us to build environments that transform society. Together, we can create architectural marvels that pay tribute to our past while shaping an equitable future for all. https://lnkd.in/e4FS5Ht6 #Juneteenth #FrederickDouglass #InclusiveDesign #SocialJustice #ArchitectureForChange

Breathing new life into historic buildings! 🏢✨ LSW has had the privilege of supporting and reimagining numerous historic buildings over our nearly 70 years in business. Among them is the historic Greely Building in downtown Vancouver. An economic hub of its time, what was once the original Clark County Auto Company, transformed into the new home for Gravitate Design. Listed on the Clark County Heritage Roster in 2005, it was crucial that the project design reflected the creative firm's innovative culture while preserving the building's physical and economic history. Clean lines, exposed wood finishes, and glass throughout the interior offered a fresh contrast to the traditional brick façade. Although Gravitate has since relocated, this project remains one of our favorites! #AdaptiveReuse #HistoricPreservation #LSWArchitects #GravitateDesign #VancouverHistory #VancouverWA

🌟 As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we have one final star project we would love to highlight: the Source Climbing Center! 🌟 As a high-intensity activity, climbing requires your full concentration. This unburdens your mind from other worries and concerns, allowing you to think purely in the moment. This has been shown to greatly improve mental wellbeing. The Source Climbing Center is Vancouver’s largest indoor rock-climbing gym that offers bouldering classes to beginners and experts alike. Experience the mental health benefits of climbing and elevate your wellness journey! #MentalHealthAwareness #Climbing #Bouldering #WellnessJourney #SourceClimbingCenter #VancouverWA #MentalWellbeing #FitnessGoals #ClimbingCommunity

🌟 Another stellar project worth highlighting for Mental Health Awareness Month: the Clark County WA Center for Community Health! 🌟 The Center for Community Health is an example of federal, state, and local governments partnering with non-profit organizations to bring comprehensive community services under one roof. Offering regional veterans and other community members convenient access to enhanced social and health services, the Center for Community Health serves as a leading example of how integrated care can transform and elevate community well-being. One of the facility's highlights includes Southwest Washington’s first residential substance abuse and crisis treatment facilities. Its unique blend of health and social services ensures continuity of care for patients, preventing anyone from being overlooked. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #WellBeing #ClarkCounty #AccessibleCare #Architecture #VancouverWA #CommunityHealth #Collaboration #VeteranCare
